Who we are
Mediqit Healthcare Solutions is an online health-commerce retailer. For the information described in this notice, Mediqit determines why and how it is used.
Information we collect
When you join our launch list, we collect:
- Your email address.
- Your required consent to receive launch emails.
- Your optional choice about product and health-essential updates.
- The date, time and version of the consent notice you accepted.
- A one-way hash of your email address, used as a storage identifier.
We also process your IP address briefly to limit repeated submissions and protect the form from abuse. It is not included in your stored waitlist record.
How and why we use it
We rely on your consent to send the communications you selected. We use your information to:
- Send Mediqit launch-date, catalogue and delivery updates.
- Send occasional product updates only when you separately request them.
- Record and manage your communication choices.
- Protect the waitlist form from spam, misuse and excessive requests.
We do not sell your email address or use it to send product updates unless you selected that option.
Website analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregated website activity, such as page views, referral sources, general location, browser, operating system and device type. The service is designed not to use third-party cookies or associate analytics with an identifiable person. Our waitlist event records whether product updates were selected, but it does not send your email address to analytics.
Retention and security
We keep waitlist information while it is needed for Mediqit's launch communications. We will remove it when you withdraw consent or request deletion, unless we must retain limited information to meet a legal obligation or document your communication preferences.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect waitlist information against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Waitlist records are stored in private cloud storage. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Your privacy rights
Subject to applicable Nigerian data-protection law, you may ask us to:
- Confirm whether we hold information about you and provide access to it.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Delete your information or restrict how it is used.
- Object to certain processing or request a portable copy where applicable.
- Withdraw your consent at any time.
Withdrawing consent does not make earlier processing unlawful. You can unsubscribe through any marketing email or contact us directly. You may also raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
Children's information
The launch list is intended for adults. We do not knowingly ask children to submit personal information. A parent or guardian who believes a child has joined the list should contact us so we can remove the information.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as Mediqit's services and data practices develop. We will publish the revised notice here and update the date above. Where a change materially affects how we use information already collected, we will provide an appropriate notice.
